A few weeks ago at the Web 2.0 Expo in NY I co-presented The Best and Worst Practices Building RIAs with Josh Holmes. Some would say that Josh and I evangelize competitive technologies (Silverlight and Flex). So it’s really fun for us to come together and find common ground around building great software – no matter what technology is behind it. Here are the slides from our presentation. Let me know what you think.

awww shucks, I woosh there was sum audio with those still pictures
Yeah would have been nice to have some audio.
Nice to see that you and Josh presented together instead of the usual MS/Adobe evangalist in wars.
The Slides give the exact view of what efforts should be made to avoid risk while building / planning RIA
Nice pictures on those slides but not really useful (aka uselesss) without the talk. Like the series of worst practices at some point shows bug tracking and source control, making it seem as if those are a bad thing which theyre definitely not (unless that came from the Microsoft guy, which wouldn’t surprise me, sorry). Looks like you had fun, good stuff.
Sorry about the lack of audio. We tried to avoid putting too much info on the slides but that does have a bad side-effect of not providing very much info when you can only see the slides. :)
Josh and I are hoping to do the talk at other conferences. What conferences do you attend?
Flash in the Can (Amsterdam/Toronto) and Flash on the Beach are my personal favorites.
