Thinking in Flex Presentation from JavaPolis 2007 is Online

The Thinking in Flex keynote which Bruce Eckel, Christoph Rooms, and I did at JavaPolis 2007 has been posted! Check it out!

Let me know what you think.

BTW: Don’t you love that Parleys.com is a Flex app?!? And they also have an Adobe AIR version of their app which works pretty well on Linux. (To install the Parleys AIR app on Linux install Adobe AIR for Linux and then get the Parleys .air file.)

Haha ok great stuff! wow nice easy presentation for you guys to complete!! :P (lol) Nothing like a tuff cookie trying to catch you out!! (Although I’m sure that must have been aimed at making sure people in the audience could see the clear benefits of flex) Good stuff guys! WE LOVE FLEX!! Haha – I don’t think there is much argument in UX between Java and Flex/AS :P

Having followed first part of the presentation on your blog (james) The second part on demo of live services was very useful to see, especially the part on Life Cycle Data services clustering servers and managing the connections between clusters (with on-offline/connection availabilities) hmm nice– great possibilities there – Only been involved with projects using amfphp with flex apps. Q: I guess there is an enterprise price tag $$ on using LCDS for replications of apps using the type of services show>>? (Although impressive stuff excellent stuff guys and good examples all round!)

PS; JAMES – Congrats on “Mont Blanc” no baby mountain there!!
